The ferries and BART offer a discount over their paper tickets if you use clipper.īART also offers a "high value ticket" where you can get something like $66 in BART rides for $60. But all accept clipper as payment if you have cash loaded on your clipper card. With regards to an East Bay commute, AC Transit (east bay bus system) and SF Muni offer discounted monthly passes. If you live in SF in the Mission, or near Glen Park or Balboa Park (and you use BART to get downtown), you should get the MUNI+BART monthly pass.Įvery Bay Area transit agency has its own fare system, but all of them are compatible with clipper. If you live in SF, and take the MUNI a lot, get the monthly pass. If you live in SF and don't take MUNI every day, it's probably cheaper to just use cash on the Clipper card. But if you tag-on/tag-off from BART and one of your stops is outside of SF, it will charge you the normal cash amount. With this pass, MUNI rides are included, and BART trips /within SF/ are included.
